This was my first hike with a MeetUp group,
The NJ Biking & Hiking Group, on March 12. We went to Harriman State Park for a six-mile hike, which took us about four hours, including lunch break. Nothing better than eating lunch sitting on a flat rock high up in a mountain!

Mid-March, no leaves or buds yet! That means no mosquitoes or ticks either. Beautiful but a bit cool. |
Scrambling up rocks. It looks difficult, but it's not so bad when you take it one step at a time. |
Jamie, our youngest hiker. |
Totally worth it! The view is magnificent from here. |
Little stream = beautiful sounds |
Our guide, Rodney, explaining to Susan how to get back so she won't be late for her appointment. She still got lost. LOL |
You can see more pictures of this hike on
this meetup event page.
